Press Release:
Fell Harvest returns with Way of the Scythe, a five-track EP arriving March 6, 2026.
Blending blackened death metal aggression with melodic doom atmosphere, the EP features a mix of newly written material and songs originally conceived during earlier creative periods, now fully realized with the band’s current lineup. Across the release, Fell Harvest explores themes of personal transformation, loss, mortality, and the cyclical nature of destruction and rebirth.
The title track, Way of the Scythe, showcases intricate guitar work and melodic intensity inspired by bands such as Dissection and Sentenced while lyrically exploring the sacrifices required to evolve into stronger versions of ourselves. Other tracks move between somber doom passages and cutting melodic death metal elements, including Until the Starlight Dies and We Who Walk on Shadowed Paths.
The EP closes with Fell Harvest’s haunting interpretation of the Judas Priest classic A Touch of Evil, a song that has served as the band’s live show finale since 2023. Their rendition infuses the legendary track with melancholic doom atmosphere, crushing riffs, and ethereal textures while remaining faithful to the spirit of the original.
Produced and engineered by Alex Carillo and mastered by Jason Livermore of The Blasting Room, Way of the Scythe captures Fell Harvest at their most atmospheric and aggressive yet, delivering a dark and immersive journey through shadow and sound.
